My Vocal Coach - Kristina

It’s so difficult to find a good mentor and a good vocal coach. Being the ambitious person I am, I wanted to find someone who believes in me as much as I do. I needed someone who will push my limits and get me out of my comfort zone so that I can be the best version of myself.

When I met Kristina at Big Voice Studios where she was initially coaching, it was love at first sight. Her passion, ability to challenge, her perspectives, and music expertise was inspiring and motivating. She’s real with me and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. She’s not afraid to say, “No, you’re doing it wrong. Try this with your voice instead.” or “Go higher, stop feeling insecure, go f’ing higher and really feel it!”.

Our coaching sessions usually begin with some exercising, stretching, funny vocal exercises … and then we’ll dive into the music. We started with covers that I knew I’d enjoy singing and then eventually, we changed to working on my own songs. It took a couple years to transition to working on my own music - It takes a lot of work and patience through the editing process to produce a great song. Some sessions, Kristina and I would work on songwriting where she’d helped me infuse imagery into my music.

Much of my growth as a musician has stemmed from working with Kristina. She’s a talented singer, a great accompanist and a dedicated coach. She pays attention to my every breath, emotion, pitch, expression and confidence. I couldn’t have asked for a better coach.
